The Town of Smithtown is soliciting bids to supply all labor, equipment and material necessary to replace the roof and associated work at the Municipal Services Facility, 85 Old Northport Road, Kings Park, NY, as detailed on drawings A-l through A-3 and the following specifications. Remove all roofing, siding, soffits, leaders, gutters and metal decking from overhang of the transfer station above the overhead doors. Roofing material is to be GAF or equivalent, installed by certified installer. Contractor is responsible for the clean up and removal of debris. Install all new materials as shown and called out on the construction plans. Install new lighting and wiring as noted by a licensed and insured electrical contractor. Install new leaders and roofdrainage as shown by licensed and insured plumbing contractor. Provide safety barricades during construction. Contractor to provide all material. All notes on plans are to be followed Sealed proposals are requested for Roof Replacement at the Municipal Services Facility. Bidders are responsible for understanding the full scope and magnitude of the project prior to submitting quotations. Specifications can be obtained at the Town Clerk's office, and bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked as Bid #26-027 - Roof Replacement at Municipal Services Facility. Each bid must include either a certified check or a bid bond equaling five percent (5%) of the total bid price as assurance that the contract will be executed if awarded. Non-Collusive Bidding Certificate and Disclosure Statements must accompany each bid. All pages must be submitted intact and the Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to participate.
