The project consists of trenchless replacement of private side lead water service laterals for 48 homes with HDPE and copper. The project is within the Village of Shorewood, located along North Lake Drive, and also includes five additional locations on nearby streets. The project is receiving funds from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Lead Service Lateral (LSL) capitalization grant and will have to comply with federal equivalency requirements. All bids shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, payable to the Village of Shorewood, in the amount equal to five percent of the bid. Prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list through Online for bids to be accepted. Bidders may not withdraw their bid within the 90-day period after the date of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive or not waive any informality in the bids received and to accept any proposal, which they deem most favorable to the interests of the Owner. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents.
