Site work for a water / sewer project in Romeoville, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The proposed construction consists of submersible pump replacements, lift station modifications, aeration tank modifications, submersible wall pumps, submersible mixers, circular clarifier modifications, process piping modifications, site piping modifications, outfall sewer pipe modifications, electrical, instrumentation, SCADA integration, and site restoration. Proposals must be submitted on provided forms. The procurement is subject to regulations from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, Davis-Bacon Act, Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, Illinois Works Jobs Program Act, and federal "Build America, Buy America Act" requirements. Bidders must undertake specified affirmative efforts regarding disadvantaged business enterprises at least sixteen days prior to bid opening. Contractors are required to pay prevailing wages not less than those under Davis-Bacon Wage Act Provisions. Bidders must have completed as a general contractor at least three wastewater treatment plant projects involving installation of treatment equipment with contract values over $5,000,000 in the last 10 years. All bids must be accompanied by a bond, certified check, cashier's check or bank draft for five percent of the bid amount. Qualification statements must be submitted with bids. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive technicalities; contract award shall go to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder unless bids are rejected for good cause.
