The Oakland Avenue Water Main Improvement Project involves sealed proposals for improvements at the City Hall, 20600 City Center Blvd, Crest Hill, Illinois 60403. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. All proposals shall be sealed in an envelope and addressed to the City of Crest Hill, attention Engineering Department, with the name and address of the bidder and the project name on the outside of the envelope. Proposals require a certified check/bank draft or bid bond in an amount not less than 10% as a guarantee. The successful bidder will furnish a performance and payment bond equal to 100% of the contract amount for faithful performance. The contractor is required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates as established by the Illinois Department of Labor and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities, postpone the bid opening, or advertise for new proposals as deemed in the best interests of the City. Pre-qualification requirements: Prequalification must be submitted to the engineer by all potential bidders. If the City Engineer and the Mayor and City Council determine that an applicant cannot serve the best interest of the city, a proposal will not be issued to that applicant.
