Site work and paving for a road / highway in Mobile, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Sealed bids are requested for furnishing all labor and materials, and performing all work required for the Chickasaw Streets Resurfacing Project (Project No.: MCR-2024-102) in Mobile County, Alabama. Forty-five (45) working days are allowed for the construction of the project. All bids must be submitted on the provided blank forms in their entirety. A cashier’s check drawn on an Alabama bank or a bidder's bond, payable to Mobile County, Alabama, for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid (not to exceed $10,000.00), must be filed with the bid as a bid guaranty. The bidder's bond must be on the specified form and from a surety company authorized to do business in Alabama. The project is bid excluding taxes, requiring compliance with applicable Alabama Code, Alabama Administrative Code, and Alabama Department of Revenue requirements. Upon signing the contract, a performance bond and a labor and materials bond, each for an amount not less than the contract price, are required. A certificate of insurance coverage must also be furnished at contract signing. The County reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive informalities or furnish any item of material or work to change the amount of the contract. Liquidated damages for non-completion within the specified time will be assessed according to the contract terms.
