The project consists of asphalt roadway resurfacing, full depth pavement repairs, sidewalk replacement and extension, casting adjustments, service adjustments, drainage improvements, concrete repairs, driveway repairs, signage, pavement markings, maintenance of traffic, and lawn restoration. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid Security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said Surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form contained in the Contract Documents. The City will award the contract based on the lowest and best bid as determined in the discretion of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein. Prevailing Wage Rates are applicable to this project. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Lorain County and the City of Amherst, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Labor & Worker Safety, Wage and Hour Bureau.
