This project consists of the installation of an owner furnished chiller and all associated work. Sealed proposals from pre-qualified bidders will be received by the Alabama Community College System at the office of Bishop State Community College in the Business Technology Center Auditorium. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Engineer of Record or copies thereof. All bidders submitting bids in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975 and must show evidence of license before bidding. The bidder must clearly display their current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. The successful bidder must provide proof of enrollment in the Federal E-Verify Program and compliance with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer & Citizen Protection Act. Only General Contractors and Mechanical Contractors who have been approved to bid pursuant to pre-qualification procedures and criteria established by the Owner will be eligible to bid. Applications for pre-qualification must be received by the Engineer of Record by the stated deadline. Pre-qualified bidders may obtain Bid Documents from the Engineer of Record. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference at the project site is required for all pre-qualified General Contractor and Mechanical Contractor bidders.
