The City of Detroit is seeking competitive quotes from licensed and qualified electrical contractors to provide design/build services for the installation of a new diesel generator and automatic transfer switch (ATS) at the Silver Bullet Pump Station. A site visit is required. Site visits will not be offered after March 30, 2026. The City of Detroit is seeking competitive quotes from licensed and qualified electrical contractors to provide design/build services for the installation of a new diesel generator and automatic transfer switch (ATS) at the Silver Bullet Pump Station. The Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the following work: o Design and installation of a new diesel generator system and automatic transfer switch (ATS). o Construct new concrete slabs for both the generator and ATS. o Excavate and install underground electrical conduit for power and control connections between new and existing equipment. o Provide all conduits, conductors, fittings, and accessories required for complete and functional power and control circuits. o Coordinate all required underground utility locates before excavation. o Provide erosion and sediment control measures as needed to prevent site impact. o Supervise and perform startup and testing of the generator and ATS. o Obtain all necessary electrical permits and coordinate with the local electrical inspector and power utility as required. o Provide training for City staff on operation and maintenance of the generator and ATS. o Design of seismic anchor bolts for the generator. The electrical contractor submitting a quote should be familiar with the electrical demand of the site.
