Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Detroit, Oregon. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. The work under this contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the construction of public park improvements including site grading, utilities, paving, landscaping, and the construction of a covered pavilion. B. The work shall be performed within the CITY OF DETROIT, Marion County, Right-of-Way at the project site(s) identified on the plans. C. The project includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Site clearing, grading, and erosion control per ODOT standards. 2. Construction of a covered pavilion structure, including foundation, slab, roof, framing, and conduit stubs for power service. 3. Installation of 4-inch stormwater collection system with cleanouts. 4. Construction of 5-foot-wide and 6-foot-wide concrete sidewalks, ADA-compliant ramps with detectable warning surfaces, and replaced curbs. 5. Asphalt repaving to accommodate ADA improvements and tie-in to existing pavement on Forest Avenue. 6. Construction of a level-flow spreader with drain rock and emergency overflow. 7. Installation of playground equipment, including foundation supports, gravel subgrade, engineered wood fiber surface, and playground curbing. Playground equipment shall be installed by a Certified Playground Installer. Proof of certification shall be supplied prior to signing agreements with the City. 8. Restoration/landscaping of disturbed areas with topsoil and seeding. D. Work shall not begin until Engineer has issued a Notice to Proceed to the Contractor. Bids must be fully completed as provided in the Instructions to Bidders, accompanied by a bid security of not less than 10% of the total bid amount. All bidders must comply with state and federal law regarding equal opportunity employment and workers' compensation. Bidder, Contractor, and Subcontractors must be registered with the Construction Contractors Board. Bidders must certify that they have an employee drug-testing program in place. Each Bidder must submit a subcontractor list to the Owner within two working hours after the time for receipt of bids. This contract is for public work and subject to prevailing wage rates for public works contracts in Oregon. Bids must include a statement of compliance with ORS 279C.840 and a statement about resident bidder status. The Owner may reject any bid not in compliance with bidding procedures or requirements, and no bid may be withdrawn or modified after the bid receipt deadline until 70 days after bid opening. Estimated Value Notes: $400,000 - 525,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing at least ten (10) calendar days prior to receipt of Bids. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed, faxed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents.
