The City of Palm Springs is seeking qualified architectural firms to provide on-call architectural services on an as-needed basis for a variety of public facility projects. The scope includes maintaining, rehabilitating, modernizing, and expanding public facilities such as City Hall, Fire Stations, Police Headquarters, the airport, the Convention Center, libraries, parking structures, parks, recreational facilities, and other municipal buildings. Services may involve capital improvement projects, facility condition upgrades, code compliance improvements, sustainability and energy efficiency enhancements, and space planning initiatives. The intent is to create a pool of pre-qualified consultants available to support city projects efficiently and effectively. Instructions to bidders specify that responders must have at least 15 years of experience providing architectural services for public works projects, a minimum of 25 years providing architectural services as a business, and must list three projects within the last five years for a public agency with contract prices of at least $250,000 for architectural services. The selected firm will be required to be licensed under the City of Palm Springs Business License Ordinance.
