Demolition for a residential development in Fayetteville, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development.
1. Call 811 before demolition begins to check utilities. 2. Disconnect and cap all utility lines, including electric, gas, water, and sewer. 3. Raze existing structure(s) and remove all construction materials and debris from site. This is to include asbestos testing and abatement if necessary. 4. Remove all loose debris, liter, trash, refuse, overgrowth, etc. from lot area. 5. Dispose of all debris and materials in an environmentally safe and acceptable manner, including but not limited to asbestos abatement. Contractor shall maintain records and provide proof for disposal of materials by providing weigh receipts and names of disposal sites. 6. Back fill all disturbed areas as may be necessary to restore and to match to original grade. 7. Rake area smooth, seed with lawn grass, and mulch with straw. The Fayette County Commission will receive sealed bids for inspection, asbestos testing, asbestos abatement, and demolition of structures at the following addresses: 7620 Okey L Patteson Rd., 681 Kanawha Falls Rd., 112 Hamilton Ave., 609 Gaymont Mountain Rd., and 1938 Bachman Rd. The project must be completed by June 26, 2026. Proposals should be mailed to Fayette County Commission, Attn: REAP Demolition Proposal Phase 10, PO Box 307 Fayetteville, WV 25840, or hand delivered to 100 N. Court St. Suite 2, Fayetteville, WV 25840 by the deadline. Bidders are required to use Beacon Bid to pose inquiries and receive updates and notifications. The demolition will be contracted per location if grant funding allows as property is approved.
