Project involves rehabilitation of approximately 21 sanitary sewer laterals, including but not limited to: lateral replacement by open cut or pipe bursting of approximately 2,245 L.F. of 6-inch sanitary laterals, pavement, lawn restoration, and lateral connection grouting. All work is included in a single prime contract. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. The Village of Elm Grove reserves the right to accept the most advantageous Bid, or to reject any and all Bids. Award of work described is subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes. Bidding documents, including drawings and specifications, may be examined at the offices of Village of Elm Grove and the Consulting Engineer during regular business hours. 8.01 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all Plan Holder's of Record. Questions received from Bidders that do not, in Engineer's opinion, allow sufficient time to respond prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
