Site work and paving for a road / highway in Burbank, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work consists of earth excavation, hot-mix asphalt surface removal, spot concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveway pavement removal and replacement, hot-mix asphalt surface course paving, structure adjustments, parkway restoration, pavement markings, and all appurtenant construction. All applicable work will be in conformance with the "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction", dated January 1, 2022. Plans and proposal forms are available for download only from via the Novotny Engineering website, for a non-refundable charge. Proposal forms are non-transferable. Only those Proposals obtained from and with the approval of Novotny Engineering will be accepted at the bid opening. Only qualified Contractors who can furnish satisfactory proof of having performed work of similar nature will be entitled to receive Plans and submit Proposals. At the request of the Engineer, bidders may be required to submit a "Statement of Experience" listing previous projects of similar nature. The Owner reserves the right to issue Bid Documents only to those Contractors deemed qualified. All Proposals must be accompanied by a Bank or Cashier's Check, Bank Draft, Certified Check, or Bid Bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, or as provided in the applicable sections of the "Standard Specifications". No Bid may be withdrawn after opening without Owner consent for a period of forty-five (45) days after the scheduled time of opening of Bids. The Contractor will be required to furnish a labor and material "Performance Bond" in the full amount of the Contract, and to pay Prevailing Wages according to applicable laws. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, to waive technicalities, and to accept the Proposal deemed to be most favorable to the Owner.
