The Complexity Factor for this project is 0.035. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on October 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase I engineering services are required for all work associated with the preparation of preliminary engineering and environmental studies for the improvement of approximately six miles of IL 50 from 63rd Street to 111th Street in Cook County. IL 50 is low speed (35 mph) seven lane roadway with a flush center median. This corridor segment has a history of high crashes. The proposed improvement is anticipated to consist of intersection and roadway modifications to improve safety and operations. The anticipated improvements include corridor access management, intersection reconfiguration and/or signal retiming at the signalized intersections, drainage improvements, and pedestrian and bicyclist accommodations.
