Site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Phelps, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.
The project is for the construction of a bridge over the Wisconsin River. The Federal Highway Administration FP-14 specifications, as modified by the Forest Service Supplemental Specs (FSSS), govern this project. Construction is to begin on or after August 10, 2026. West Shore Road may be closed to local traffic for up to 60 days, and bidders must estimate the minimum total road closure days in their proposals. Davis-Bacon wages and reporting are required. Submit at least three references from recently completed projects with your bid. Bids should be in the format of the attached bid tab. The US Forest Service and WI DNR will inspect and oversee the project. The Town of Phelps reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or any part(s) thereof and waive any informalities in the bidding process to select the proposal deemed most advantageous to the town.
