Site work and paving for a road / highway in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The general work requested is construction of variable thickness asphaltic concrete pavement, 5”/variable thickness concrete base, 8” reinforced concrete pavement, pavement grinding, concrete curb and gutter, 5” concrete walks, 8” concrete driveway, sign structure, concrete planters, clay pavers, installation of conduit and other electrical appurtenance, installation of street lighting fixtures, removal/relocation of existing street lighting fixtures, various signage installations, various landscaping plantings/installations, gravel filling, concrete removals, sealing pavement joints and cracks, pavement marking, sewer work, water work, CUC adjustments, etc., located at TD07884203 - Lakefront Gateway, Phase III, Michigan St., Lincoln Memorial Dr. All work must be completed by the specified completion date. Liquidated damages will apply for late completion. The residency requirement is 40% of all hours worked, with a portion specifically from certain zip codes. The SBE requirement is 25% of the contract base bid, with an SBE Compliance Plan (Form A) and certificates required with the bid. Bid security in the form of a bond, certified check, cashier’s check, or cash at 10% of the base bid is required. Bids may be submitted via Bid Express or emailed in PDF format. Contractors must participate in required training on contract compliance and labor compliance reporting software, and timely provide subcontractor and payroll information throughout the contract term. All forms must be properly filled out for bid responsiveness. Incomplete documentation will result in bid rejection.
