Demolition and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Anna Maria, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; and playground / park / athletic field.

The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, permits, and disposal services necessary to complete the work. The Bidder shall be responsible for verifying all field conditions prior to submitting a bid. The scope of work shall include the following: A. Bathroom Structure Demolition (orange outlined area in Attachment A): Complete demolition of the restroom area, including storage areas, located at the T-End of the City of Anna Maria Pier, including the removal of all plumbing fixtures, partitions, drywall, ceiling tiles and associated materials. The removal of drywall and interior wall materials to a minimum height of five feet, or greater, if required by current building code for post-flood remediation. Contractor is responsible for proper disposal of all debris. B. Larger Pier Building (green outlined area in Attachment A): Demolition of flood-damaged interior wall sections to a minimum height equivalent to the top of the windows and doors, in accordance with Florida Building Code requirements, and the removal of damaged materials necessary to allow for mold remediation and structural assessment. Demolition of all ceiling tiles and the non-load bearing interior wall. Contractor is responsible for proper disposal of all debris. C. Grille and Bait Shop Building (blue outlined area in Attachment A): Demolition of flood-damaged components of the smaller building structure including interior materials and wall sections as required. Contractor is responsible for proper disposal of all debris. D. Mold Remediation: Provide professional mold remediation services including containment of affected areas, removal of contaminated materials, cleaning and treatment of surfaces, proper disposal of mold-affected materials, and documentation of remediation procedures. Contractor shall comply with all applicable Florida Building Code flood damage repair requirements. E. Disposal: Properly dispose of all demolition and contaminated materials in accordance with local, State, and Federal regulations. F. Other Matters: Scenario One - Contractor will be responsible to transport all equipment required to perform the work and all workers to and from the job site via watercraft. A temporary barge may be required for equipment and the storage and disposal of all debris generated. Scenario Two - Contractor will transport all equipment required to perform the work and all workers will access the job site utilizing the walkway currently under construction. All debris generated will be removed using the walkway and temporarily stored in waste containers at a site mutually agreed to in proximity to the Pier. Instructions to bidders include: Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference. Bids submitted by parties that did not attend will be rejected. Bidders are not entitled to rely upon any oral interpretations; only written addenda or determinations issued by the Purchasing Agent are valid. Each Bidder is responsible for contacting the Purchasing Office before submitting their bid to determine if any such written decisions have been issued and to amend their bid as necessary. A bid bond of 5% of the total bid is required. The project includes demolition of flood-damaged infrastructure and remediation of mold in affected areas. The work will occur at the City Pier T-End facilities, including the restroom structure, the Grille and Bait Shop building, and the larger building that was formerly used by Mote Marine Laboratories Any comments, questions, or requests for clarification, interpretation, or additional information concerning the ITB shall be submitted in writing by e-mail to the Purchasing Agent, at the contact information below. The deadline for submitting questions is April 24, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.
