The work consists of repairing and resurfacing a fiberglass surface pool for the Paradise Recreation and Park District at 5600 Recreation Drive, Paradise, CA 95969. Qualified contractors must have the experience, skills, and equipment necessary for resurfacing a fiberglass pool. Bidders are required to submit a detailed bid including costs for labor, equipment, and materials, a proposed work schedule with start and finish dates, and three references with contact information and project descriptions from their last three projects of similar scale and scope (preferably with governmental entities). Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the project name, to the Paradise Recreation and Park District Business Office by the specified deadline. All contractors must attend a mandatory site visit at the project location. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor irregularities. A. Scope: Provide all material, labor, equipment and services necessary to furnish and install Advanced-Glass pool interior fiberglassing (or lining), underwater tile as opted, accessories and other related items necessary to complete the work as indicated by the contract documents or otherwise required for a complete installation. B. The pool is 220,000 gallons, fiberglass shell, ranging in depths of three feet, four feet, and 11 feet. C. The intention of this specification is to require work that will result in a fully renewed interior surface of the pool, in essentially like-new condition. This interior lining, and all related work under this contract, should be expected to perform without failure for many years.
