The Project consists of: Increment 1 of the Contract - Miscellaneous Site Demolition Work; Building Site Work; Building Site Utilities Work; Shade Structure and Mini-Quad Construction; Main and North Parking Lot Expansion and Alterations Construction, including associated Shade Canopies; all associated Hardscaping and Landscaping Work, Replacement of Existing Kindergarten and TK Play Structures; Hazardous Materials Abatement Work; and Demolition and Removal of existing Portable Classrooms Buildings. Pre-qualification requirements: Only prequalified bidders will be eligible to submit a bid for contracts $1 million or more using or planning to use state bond funds. Any bid submitted by a bidder who is not prequalified shall be non-responsive and returned unopened. Any bid listing subcontractors holding C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, or C-46 licenses, if used, who have not been prequalified, shall be deemed nonresponsive and will not be considered. A prequalification application can be obtained as specified in the instructions. The bidder is required to possess a valid State of California A or B contractor's license and be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful bidder must furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if awarded the contract. Bids must conform to the provided forms and be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check for 10% of the bid amount as a guarantee.
