Site work, paving and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Letts, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility.
The work to be performed consists of the construction of a new Pre-engineered Metal Building for the storage of commercial vehicles for use by the Muscatine County Engineer and Highway Department. The structure consists of concrete foundations and flatwork, metal framed walls and roof, standing seam metal roofing, metal siding, aluminum storefront windows, sectional doors, and hollow metal doors. Interior work includes metal stud framing with batt insulation, installation of drywall, painting, installation of kitchen and bathroom fixtures and finishes. Mechanical work includes the installation of heating and cooling ductwork and appliances for the office and storage space. Electrical work includes installation of lighting and electrical equipment. Site work consists of well and septic installation, retaining walls, concrete flatwork, re-grading of the drive, and concrete paving. This is a single prime contract. Question Deadline 04/17/2026 Submit all questions about the Drawings and Project Manual to the Architect, in writing at michael@horizon-architecture.com. Submit a digital PDF containing Bid form, bid bond and qualifications statement with optional password protection to the designated email addresses no later than 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026. Transmit the password (optional) to open the document at or after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026. Bid results will not be official until all information is reviewed, tabulated, and presented to and approved by the Muscatine County Board of Supervisors.
