Renovation of a detention facility in Irma, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
In general, the work consists of replacement of all exterior door assemblies in four housing units with new security grade energy efficient units. Project work includes demolition and disposal of existing units, installation of new units, repairing or replacing interior and exterior finishes, and all associated trim, flashing, and sealants. This work is located within a secure facility. Removal and reinstallation of electrical, low voltage, fixtures, furnishings, and equipment from the immediate vicinity of windows and door frames and interior painting will be by Owner. All potential bidders must be certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $100,000. Bids from non-certified contractors will be rejected. Bids must be submitted as a PDF scanned file of all required bid documents via the eBuilder Bidding Portal (preferred), by mail or third-party delivery, or by hand delivery to the designated drop box. The bidder is responsible for ensuring the sealed bid is delivered on time. Bids will be opened via Microsoft Teams. Construction bidding documents are only available as downloadable electronic files from the Division of Facilities Development website. No deposit is required to obtain documents for bidding purposes. Contract offer and construction records will be processed electronically via eBuilder. A non-mandatory pre-bid tour is scheduled, and attendees must pass a background check per DOC Contractor Site Access and Working Requirements.
