Site work for a laboratory facility in Binghamton, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a laboratory facility.
The work to be done under the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Documents, consists of performing, installing, furnishing and supplying all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of Project Number E071093, titled Science III Phase II Lab Furniture / Equipment and carry out all of the duties and obligations imposed upon the Contractor by the Contract Documents. The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following: Binghamton University is seeking a qualified contractor to supply and install laboratory furniture, storage shelving, chemical fume hoods and plumbing fixtures. For purposes of this solicitation, the University hereby establishes an overall goal of 30% for MWBE participation, 19% for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE) participation and 11% for Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) participation (based on the current availability of qualified MBEs and WBEs). All work on this contract is to be completed within 100 calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid. Prospective bidders must purchase a bid set from nyplanroom.com to be considered a responsible bidder. Electronic copies of the bidding documents are available for order/download on the portal at nyplanroom.com. A deposit of $49.00 is required to receive these documents; deposits will be waived for certified Minority and Women Owned and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. It is the policy to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Pursuant to State Finance Law 139-j and 139-k, certain restrictions on communications between the university and potential bidders during the procurement process are imposed.
