Site work and paving for a road / highway in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
In general, LRIP 18637 (Truax Ln.) consists of the following major items: 3-inch asphalt removal, base aggregate dense (4 inches) for shouldering, HMA pavement, pavement marking, and all incidental items necessary to complete the work as shown on the plans and included in the proposal and contract. The total project length is 0.25 miles. Sealed bid proposals for the project will be received at the specified location until the bid deadline. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of 10% of the maximum base bid amount. Bid and bid security may not be withdrawn for a period as specified in the Wis. Dept. of Transportation Standard Specifications. Bid security will be retained if the Bidder is awarded the Work and fails to execute the Contract and furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. Bidders shall be experienced in this type of work and shall be pre-qualified with the Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation for work in the class and amount of their bid or shall complete the Statement of Bidder's Qualifications bound with the proposal to demonstrate qualifications to perform the work. The Statement of Bidder's Qualifications, if completed, shall be returned with the Bid Proposal. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in any bid. Bidding documents may be obtained in PDF electronic format by request.
