The work consists of the construction of a two-story addition to an existing two-story building. The addition is a 4,511 square foot, steel framed, brick veneer building with an elevator and one stair. The project also includes some renovations to the existing building, which will be occupied during construction, requiring thoughtful sequencing. The base bid includes the basic building package with all exterior and interior finishes, concrete parking, and other site amenities. Alternate Number One includes Lobby Improvements & Under Stairs Enclosures. Alternate Number Two includes Office Amenities. Alternate Number Three includes Exterior Amenities. Bidders must submit a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the proposed Base Bid plus all Alternates as a guarantee to execute the contract if awarded. The successful bidder must provide a Performance and Payment Bond for 100% of the contract amount, from an approved insurer. Only contractors licensed in Louisiana for Building Construction may submit bids. Bids cannot be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days after receipt. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. Bidding documents can be viewed at Louisiana Digital's Plan Room and purchased only as complete sets.
