Renovation of an educational facility in East Moline, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed Bids will be received by Black Hawk College for the Black Hawk College Outreach Center Stair Repairs. Bid Categories are as follows. 1A. Concrete 1B. Masonry Restoration 1C. Structural Steel 1D. Sandblasting and Painting Lump sum bid proposals will be received for this project at the scheduled time of receipt of bids and will be publicly opened at that time. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cash in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to the Board of Trustees, Black Hawk College. The College reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the College. Decisions of the College will be final. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all contractors working on public projects. Bidders must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws. The College recognizes the importance of increasing the participation of businesses owned by minorities, females and persons with disabilities in public contracts. It is the policy of the College to promote the economic development of disadvantaged business enterprises by setting aspirational goals to award contracts to businesses owned by minorities, females, and persons with disabilities for certain services, to the extent provided by the Business Enterprise for Minorities, Females and Persons with Disabilities Act ("Act"), 30 ILCS 575/0.01 et seq. and the Business Enterprise Council for Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities ("Council") which serves to implement, monitor and enforce the goals of the Act.
