Renovation of a fire / police facility in Seattle, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The proposal shall include a price for the design, the specifications, the fabrication, and the installation of the system. The proposal shall be based on information provided within this document. The project will be managed by UW Facilities, Project Delivery Group. The contractor will prepare a schedule based on a construction completion date of not later than June 30, 2025. Bidders are encouraged to attend the informational meeting as the building is restricted. The visit will allow prospective bidders an opportunity to see the site and work conditions. Bidders are obligated to raise pertinent issues during the visit or by the due date and time for questions. All communications regarding this RFP should be addressed to Pasqual Contreras, Construction Project Manager, 503-734-7488 pasqualc@uw.edu The Work of the Contract Documents can be summarized as follows: This project will improve fire alarm systems in the following buildings: 1138 - Marine Sciences; 1141 - Oceanography Teaching Building; 1131 - Aerospace and Engineering Building; 1316 - Bank of America Executive Education Center; 1277- Benson Hall; 1132 - Bloedel Hall; 1357 - Fishery Sciences; 1194 - Henry Art Gallery; 1347 - Mechanical Engineering Building; 1314 - Ocean Sciences Building; 1121 - Social Work/ Speech and Hearing Sciences Building; 1420 - William H. Gates Hall; 1054 - Winkenwerder Annex. 1. The scope of work includes upgrading from the 4100+ panels to new 4100 ES panels. This upgrade will utilize the existing cabinet spaces while installing new cards and boards for updated functionality and future device and network upgrades. A summary of the scope is as follows: a. Replace all of the existing boards and cards with new ES boards and cards b. All existing circtuis and wiring will be terminated to the new boards c. Fire Alarm as-built drawings will be updated d. Programming, commissioning and testing e. Proved MapNet replacement devices f. Remove existing MapNet based monitoring modules, Relay ZAMs, and pull stations and replace with new ID Net, compatible replacements g. The installation of any wiring extension or panel relocations h. The installation of any new cabinets or devices i. Prepare obtain and pay for all permits necessary to complete the project
