Site work for a civil project in Starkville, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Work will take place at the Starkville Utilities Operation Center, located at Dr Martin Luther King Jr Dr E, Starkville, MS 39759. The work consists of grading, constructing a gravel road and pad site, drilling a water supply well and installing a water supply pump, two chemical buildings, chemical feed systems, associated yard piping, and electrical/controls for the systems. Proposals must be accompanied by a Proposal Guaranty consisting of a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check in the amount of 5% of the amount of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Payment and Performance Bond if the bid equals or exceeds $25,000. Bids which equal or exceed $50,000 must have a Certificate of Responsibility number issued by the Mississippi State Board of Contractors written on the outside of the envelope containing the bids. Bids for less than $50,000 must be marked on the outside that the bid does not exceed $50,000. All contractors must adhere to the City's non-discrimination policy. Bids which are for work outside of the bidder's classification will be returned unopened. Preference is given to resident contractors over nonresidents, with nonresident bidders required to attach their state's relevant laws concerning nonresident contractors. The contractor must give preference to materials grown, produced, prepared, made, or manufactured within Mississippi, unless materials outside the state or country offer lower cost or better quality. The contractor must not use materials produced outside the United States unless such materials are not available in the U.S. completion- (330) calendar days Question Deadline 04/09/2026 at 5:00 PM CT Bidders should direct questions to Trey Hopper P.E. at trey.hopper@neel-schaffer.com. Questions may be submitted until 5:00 P.M., seven (7) calendar days prior to the bid opening date. The Work is comprised of construction that includes, but may not be limited to, the following: WATER SUPPLY WELL 1. Ground water testing for proposed well. 2. Drilling new water supply well. 3. Installation of new water supply pump and appurtenances including all flow monitoring, valves, etc. associated with well. CHEMICAL FEED 4. Installation of chlorine gas feed systems, piping, and feed manhole 5. Installation of corrosion inhibitor feed system (polyorthophosphate) and associated piping STRUCTURES 6. Installation of chemical feed and storage buildings (3 Total) 7. Construction of chemical building and electrical equipment pads MECHANICAL 8. Installation of various valves and fittings ELECTRICAL 9. All associated electrical work for water well, chemical storage and feed, metering, control panels, and any other necessary electrical component associated with proposed work herein. 10. Installation of new automatic transfer switch GENERAL 11. Installation of any temporary systems, such as power, as necessary to facilitate the Work described herein. 12. Instrumentation and control required for the modified or new systems per the Contract Drawings or Technical Specifications. 13. Any required electrical component improvements or replacements required for the modified or new systems as included in the Contract Drawings or Technical Specifications. 14. All other associated civil, yard piping, mechanical, and electrical work included in the Contract Drawings or Technical Specifications.
