The project consists of replacing water mains and making minor transportation improvements along NE Lafayette Ave. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, installation of roughly 1,520 ft. of potable water pipe, installation/reconnection of water laterals to newly installed water pipe, temporary traffic control, street reconstruction, establishing a pedestrian path, and general right of way restoration. Entities intending to bid should register with the city's portal in order to receive addenda. Sealed bids must be submitted as instructed on the city portal, or via mail or in person with prior arrangement. Bidders are responsible for ensuring they have all addenda before submitting bids. No faxed or electronic (email) submissions will be accepted. Statements made by city representatives at the pre-bid conference are not binding unless confirmed in an addendum. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids, postpone the award for up to ninety days, waive informalities, and select the bid in the city's interest. Pre-qualification requirements: Prequalification is a requirement. Bidders must be prequalified with the City of Bend at the time the bids are opened. The prequalification process is administered by the Private Development Engineering Division through the CityView permit and licensing software and customer portal. New applications for City of Bend prequalification must be received at least 10 business days before the bid deadline. Registration for the customer portal may be obtained online.
