Design-bid-build construction services to implement erosion control and levee strengthening along the north (right) bank of the Lower American River in Sacramento, California, as part of ongoing American River Common Features (ARCF) erosion reduction efforts. Anticipated work includes constructing launchable rock toe, a launchable trench, and tie-backs along approximately 1.8 miles of riverbank; excavating, placing, and regrading material on the riverbank slope and levee embankment; installing soil-filled rock slope protection on the waterside levee face and riverbank; and placing soil and rock to construct river toe protection and planting bench features. Additional work is anticipated to include placement of instream wood structures on the planting benches, construction of buried launchable trench features in the overbank, tie-in of new erosion protection elements to existing rock revetment features, providing temporary erosion control to stabilize disturbed soil areas, and importing and placing riprap. Vegetation clearing may be performed under a separate Government contract prior to erosion protection construction. The requirement is anticipated to be fully designed, with an estimated construction duration of 760 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed, and in-water work anticipated to be limited to July through October. The Government currently estimates the target price range (previously magnitude of construction) for the potential project may be between $45,000,000.00 and $60,000,000.00.
