Bids are invited for Playground Upgrades at Van Derveer Elementary School, along with all incidental work, according to the requirements set in the Bid Documents. The Bidder must be classified for a Single Overall Contract in the discipline DPMC: C009 or C054 as of the bid opening date and time. Electronic and hard copy Bid Documents are available from the Architect, with specific procedures for obtaining them. Sealed Bids must be submitted in duplicate, clearly marked on the envelope, and must include (1) a bid bond or certified cashier's check payable to the Owner equal to 10% of the bid amount (not exceeding $20,000), and (2) a Certificate of Consent of Surety obligating an approved surety company to provide both a NJ Statutory Performance Bond and a NJ Statutory Payment Bond for the full contract amount. The Consent of Surety must meet New Jersey statutory requirements, including AM BEST rating of A- or better. The project is subject to the New Jersey State Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, provide a Business Registration Certificate, and comply with all state and federal regulations, including those for non-debarment and workforce reporting.
