Site work for a development in Chehalis, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a development.

Sealed bids will be received for the Newman-Ripple Creek Fish Passage Improvement Project. Major bid items include: mobilization, dewatering and work site isolation, abutment excavation, haul and disposal, channel excavation, streambed gravels, geotextile for soil separation at abutments, gravel footing, providing and installing Ultrablock Abutment System, scour protection, installing a provided bridge, gravel borrow import, backfill and compaction, gravel surfacing, seed and mulch, project cleanup, minor change, and other items in conformance with the latest WSDOT Standard Specifications, APWA Supplement, and the Special Provisions for this project. The project is funded by a Salmon Recovery Funding Board grant and is subject to Washington State prevailing wage provisions. The contractor must file a Statement of Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages and an Affidavit of Wages Paid. Bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid deposit of 5% of the bid amount in the form of Surety Bond, cash, cashier's check, or certified check. Proposals must be in writing, on district-provided forms, sealed and properly marked, and delivered to the designated office or emailed as specified. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject bids on each item or as a whole, to reject any or all bids, and to waive informalities. MAJOR BID ITEMS will include: Mobilization - LS, Dewater and Work Site Isolation - LS, Abutment Excavation, Haul and Disposal - 110 CY, Channel Excavation, Haul and Disposal - 70 CY, Streambed Gravels - 30 CY, Geotextile for Soil Separation at Abutments - 45 SY, Gravel Footing - 10 CY, Provide and Install Ultrablock Abutment System - LS, Scour Protection - 20 CY, Install Bridge (Provided) - LS, Gravel Borrow Import, Backfill and Compaction - 75 CY, Gravel Surfacing - 30 CY, Seed and Mulch - 0.25 AC, Project Cleanup - LS, Minor Change - $1000 T&M, and other items in conformance with the most current edition WSDOT Standard Specifications incl. the APWA Supplement, and the Special Provisions for this project. This project will improve fish passage on Sandi Newman's property at 273 Romerman Road, Chehalis, WA 98532 by replacing an undersized barrier culvert with a 40' long by 14' wide prefabricated bridge. The Bonneville Power Administration holds an access easement that utilizes the barrier culvert crossing. The project will restore unrestricted aquatic passage at the Newman/BPA crossing on Ripple Creek, providing access to approximately 2.0 miles of spawning and rearing habitat before the next upstream barrier culvert on Haywire Road (owned by Lewis County). This project is funded by a grant from Salmon Recovery Funding Board administered by the Washington Recreation and Conservation Office.
