The project is for the collection, transportation, receipt, processing, or disposal of solid waste, recyclable or compostable materials. Contractors are invited to submit proposals that comply with all Federal, State, and local laws, rules, and regulations. Proposals must conform to the requirements, procedures, and instructions provided, and be submitted in two documents: "Technical Proposal for Hauling of Solid Waste and Recycling, and Disposal of Solid Waste" and "Price Proposal for Recycling and Trash Collection and Disposal of Solid Waste." Proposals shall be valid for 90 days from the submittal deadline. Contracts awarded will be between the Town of Abington and the selected contractor and will require Contract Signature Sheets, Price Proposal, Certificate of Insurance, and Certificate of Non-Collusion. The contract is subject to the Prevailing Wage Law. The standard contract period is three years, with possible extension subject to approval and appropriation. The Town reserves the right to reject all proposals, waive technicalities, advertise for new proposals, and make awards in the best interest of the Town.
