Avery County seeks to engage a qualified engineering firm to conduct a comprehensive repair and replacement assessment for the Avery County Parks and Recreation Department. This project will involve the evaluation of the 6.00-acre Green Valley Park, which sustained damage during Hurricane Helene. The assessment should include, but not be limited to, evaluating and recommending repairs or replacements for damaged infrastructure such as fencing, sod, bleachers, restrooms, and other necessary renovations to restore the parks to fully functional facilities. Specifically, Green Valley Park will require the replacement of an 800-square-foot building, including its kitchen, well, septic system, and restrooms. The engineering firm will be tasked with identifying and documenting any damage caused by Hurricane Helene, with a focus on providing accurate cost estimates for repairs and replacements. The County will retain the final authority in selecting the engineering firm for these services. The selected firm will be contracted to provide site design, building design, and construction management services for this project.
