Demolition, site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Byram, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The work consists essentially of the following items: traffic control signage, removal of the existing bridge, driving new piles, new bridge components installation, earthwork, erosion control, milling, and overlaying. All other related items of work required to complete the project as shown on the plans and specified in the Contract Documents. The contractor is responsible for performing all work and furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. Bidders are required to comply with the Contract Provisions governing selection and employment of labor, including predetermined minimum wage rates and the Work Hours Act of 1962. Disadvantaged and women's business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, age, disability, religion, or national origin. Each bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's check, Certified Check, or Bidder's Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price as security. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Hard copy submissions must be submitted in a sealed envelope, and electronic submissions must include a complete electronic bid package. Work must be performed in accordance with the “Mississippi State Highway Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2017,” including all amendments, special provisions, and addenda, unless otherwise noted in the specifications.
