Sealed bids will be received for the PEDESTRIAN CROSSING - W. WASHINGTON ST. project. Pavement Removal , Combination Concrete Curb and Gutter, Type B-6.24, Integral Color P.C.C. Pavement 8.5" Jointed (Apricot) , Integral Color P.C.C. Pavement 8.5" Jointed (Trail Dust), P.C.C. Sidewalk, 4" with Macro Fibrous Reinforcement , Combination P.C.C. Curb-Sidewalk with Macro Fibrous Reinforcement , Trench Drain, Complete, Paint Pavement Marking - Letters and Symbols Bidders must be able to submit, if requested, an Illinois Department of Transportation Pre-qualification Statement prior to award. Bids for "All Work" will be received at the City Clerk's office. Every bid must include two completed copies of Bid Documents and a bid guarantee (bid bond, certified check or cashier's check) in the amount of five percent of the total bids. Incomplete submission of the bid guarantee is cause for rejection. The project may begin as early as May 20th, 2026, and must be substantially completed on or before July 3rd, 2026. Bids are subject to the provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to accept or reject any or all bids in their best interest. Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are available for review and bidding at specified locations. The Work for the Pedestrian Crossing - W. Washington St. project shall be substantially completed on or before July 3rd, 2026. The date of readiness for final payment shall be two weeks (14 calendar days) from the date of Substantial Completion and shall be in accordance with paragraph 14.07 of the General Conditions.
