Demolition and renovation of a municipal facility in Leicester, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for the demolition of a municipal facility.

Repair of the stairs on the south side of Town Hall, including demolition of deteriorated concrete, structural patching, and resurfacing of the front entry stairs, as well as replacement of the top landing stone. Quotes may be emailed. Stairs may be viewed by prospective vendors at any time. Questions on the project will be accepted by email until the specified date. Project: Repair of the front concrete stairs and replacement of the top landing stone at Town Hall. (Note: The center section ofthe stairs, for a width ofsix feet, shall be newly repaired to allow that section ofthe stairs to be used for an event in May. This bid is for the remainder ofthe stair project.) This project shall be completed in accordance with Massachusetts public procurement requirements and prevailing wage laws. The work consists of demolition of deteriorated concrete, structural patching and resurfacing offront entry stairs, and replacement ofthe existing deteriorated bluestone landing with new granite. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, transportation, and incidentals necessary to complete the work as specified. Question Deadline 04/15/2026 at 2:00 PM ET Inquiries regarding the work should be directed to bids@leicesterma.org Questions 1.01 Concrete Stair Demolition Contractor shall: 1. Saw cut and remove all deteriorated or unsound concrete from the front stair system. 2. Demolition limits extend back to sound, structurally stable concrete. 3. Properly dispose of all demolition debris off-site in accordance with all applicable regulations. 1.02 Concrete Repair & Patching Contractor shall: 1. Clean and prepare exposed concrete surfaces for repair. 2. Drill and install steel pins/dowels into existing sound concrete to ensure mechanical bond. 3. Patch all removed areas using a polymer-modified cementitious repair mortar, blended to match existing stair geometry and profile. 4. Finish patched areas to match existing treads, risers, edges, and slopes. 1.03 Bluestone Landing Removal Contractor shall: 1. Carefully remove existing deteriorated bluestone from the top landing. 2. Bluestone is considered unsalvageable and shall be legally disposed of. 3. Clean and prepare the substrate for new stone installation. 1.04 Granite Landing Installation Contractor shall: 1. Furnish and install new granite stone landing slab(s) sized to match existing conditions. 2. Install granite on a dry-pack mortar bed. 3. Ensure proper pitch for drainage away from building. 4. Seal all joints watertight with exterior-grade sealant. Granite finish to be: o Natural or thermal finish (slip resistant) 1.05 Stair Waterproof Coating After completion ofrepairs: o Color and final selection approved by Owner.1. Clean entire stair system. 2. Apply cementitious waterproof coating over the entire set ofstairs, including patched and existing concrete, to provide uniform appearance. 3. Apply coating per manufacturer specifications.
