Site work and paving for a road / highway in Dubuque, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
This project includes the rehabilitation of approximately 0.52 centerline miles of concrete pavement along Pennsylvania Avenue and approximately 0.88 centerline miles of concrete pavement along Loras Boulevard. Rehabilitation will consist of providing 4" sealant for any cracks or joints under 3" in width. For any cracks or joints over 3" in width a 6" mastic banding will be provided. Sealed bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the contract. The successful bidder will be required to provide a corporate surety bond for faithful performance of the contract in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the contract sum. Bidders should not include Iowa state sales tax in bids; a sales tax exemption certificate will be provided for materials incorporated into the project. Preference shall be given to products and labor from Iowa as required by law. The City will not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability in contract consideration. Targeted Small Business (TSB), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), and federal prevailing wage requirements do not apply to this project.
