Work consists of demolition of existing headworks piping and equipment, installation of a new packaged mechanically cleaned auger screen with ultrasonic sensors, manual bypass bar screen with removable screening basket, self-priming centrifugal pump with basket strainer and self-leveling floating strainers, flexible suction piping, spray wash system, stop logs, hose bibs with hose rack, new 6-inch and 10-inch piping and valves including plug valves, butterfly valves, and duckbill check valves, concrete pad, asphalt restoration, and electrical instrumentation improvements including new panel, conduit, wiring, and level sensors, complete per plans and specifications. All potential subcontractors are required to be prepared to provide a 100% Payment and Performance Bond from a U.S. Treasury-listed surety company, and GSE will reimburse subcontractors for the required bond premium, so provide your bond rate at the time of bid. The decision to bond any or all subcontractors shall be at the sole discretion of GSE Construction unless specific project contract documents have other requirements. For subcontracts greater than $100,000, performance and payment bonds in the amount equal to 100% of the subcontract price may be required, issued by satisfactory sureties, with the premium (not exceeding 1.75% of the subcontract amount) reimbursed by Contractor. Bond premiums must be listed as a separate line item. Subcontractors are required to execute a subcontract in substantially the form of Contractor's standard subcontract document, available for review at Contractor's offices.
