The project generally consists of Hot In Place Asphalt Recycling of various city streets, with an estimated quantity of not less than 75,000 square yards. After award, the successful bidder shall work with the City of Cumberland to determine the exact streets to be included in the project based on budget. The City of Cumberland will obtain core samples as needed to facilitate the bidder’s work plans. The successful bidder shall also coordinate directly with the Barron County Highway Department regarding the scheduling of all Hot In Place Asphalt Recycling work. The work must be scheduled to align with Barron County’s follow-up chip sealing operations. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract. Contractors must comply with all applicable Wisconsin Statutes, including but not limited to §§ 66.0901 and 66.0903. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process.
