Renovation of a mixed-use development in Sisseton, South Dakota. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, engineering, installation, coordination, and disposal necessary to replace the existing outdated LED sign with a new two-view LED display system. The new sign shall be a GT6x-144x216-10-RGB-2V manufactured by Daktronics or equal, consisting of two one-sided displays installed back-to-back and operating on 120/240 VAC, 60 Hz single phase power. The display shall be designed to operate reliably in ambient temperatures from -40F to +120F and up to 95% humidity, with performance unaffected by radio frequency, magnetic, or electromagnetic interference. Internal hardware components shall be constructed of corrosion-resistant materials, and exterior finishes shall be coated with automotive-grade acrylic urethane paint with UV resistance. The LED display shall provide continuous, uniform, and unbroken message presentation; support true type fonts; and display alphanumeric text, symbols, graphics, and video files at up to 30 frames per second. Each display face shall be controlled by its own LED controller capable of independent operation without a connected computing device and equipped with a light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment. Controllers shall support DHCP and static IP addressing, communicate via Ethernet Cat5, and utilize cloud-hosted manufacturer software at no cost to the government. Content creation, scheduling, and management shall be accessible through a web-based browser interface supporting common browsers and operating systems, with the ability to import standard image and video file formats. The contractor shall verify existing Ethernet connectivity and confirm that existing power is adequate for the new sign. Installation services shall include verification that the existing structure and mounting hardware are adequate and compliant with ASCE 7-22, confirmation that all installation work meets local standards, and inspection of mounted displays by a qualified structural engineer. All displays shall be properly grounded in accordance with Article 250 of the National Electrical Code to ensure safe and reliable operation. The contractor shall coordinate the removal and proper disposal of the existing signage. Warranty requirements include a one-year labor and material warranty at no additional cost, five years of parts coverage from the manufacturer, and access to a manufacturer-staffed toll-free help desk available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Central Time. Location: Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center, 100 Lake Traverse Drive, Sisseton, SD 57262. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
