The scope of work includes doorway framing for a new or possibly reinstalled door, wall framing from the doorway to a 35" window including the replacement of any damaged structural members, re-hanging drywall with taping and texturing for 40-60 square feet, installing a new rubber cove base of approximately 8 feet, repairing or replacing electrical wiring, boxes, and switches as necessary, installation of the door pack (either reinstallation of the existing one with new push bars or installation of a new aluminum door pack), and installing new floor tile in front of the doorway for a 6-foot lineal section if needed. Bidders must furnish all labor, technical and professional services, supervision, materials, equipment, and perform all operations necessary and required to construct the project according to the contract provisions. All blanks in the electronic bid schedule must be filled in, and the costs for any work shown or required in the contract documents but not specifically identified as a line item must be included in related line items. Bidders must electronically insert and submit their bid prices through the e-Procurement Portal, provide pricing for every bid item, complete all bid forms, and submit subcontractor information as required. Bids must comply with all instructions and may only be submitted electronically. The lowest responsive, responsible bidder will be selected and must execute a contract and provide required bonds and insurance within ten days of notice of award. Prevailing wage requirements, contractor registration, and compliance with all applicable laws and safety programs are mandatory for this public works contract. All bidders must examine the site and contract documents prior to submitting a bid. Failure to follow these instructions may result in the bid being deemed non-responsive.
