A Unified Bid is requested for all work in this project, including General, Mechanical, and Electrical Construction work for the BL107 Biology Building - Replace PRVS at Indiana University Bloomington. Bidders must be registered and signed into the designated plan room to submit an electronic bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a completed Minority, Women's and Veteran's Business Enterprise Participation Plan, a bid security for 5% of the total bid, and the contractor's written drug testing program. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in bidding. The base bid may be held for up to sixty days before awarding contracts. All alternate bids may be held for up to ninety days before award and incorporation into the contract. If a successful bidder withdraws or fails to execute a satisfactory contract within ten days after notice, the bid security may be forfeited as liquidated damages. Prime bidders are required to attend at least one mandatory pre-bid meeting. Question Deadline 04/20/2026 Request for interpretation, correction or clarification of the Bidding Documents shall be in writing to the Owner's Representative. The Project consists of the replacement of pressure reducing valves (PRVs) 10A/10B and 11A/11B in Mechanical Room 024 and installation of new PRVs stations 10A/10B and 11A/11B in Mechanical Room A092. Replacement/installation includes disconnecting all associated piping and supports in Mechanical Room 024. New PRVs installation in Mechanical Room A092 includes the relocation of the existing lab air compressor, the relocation of three existing air dryers, disconnection/reinstallation of all associated tubing & electrical conduits, and modification of the existing condensate pump vent at the chase. Furnish and install new PRVs in new locations and reconnect all associated piping and supports. Install new safety relief vent from Mechanical Rooms 024 and A092 to the building exterior (adjacent to the loading dock). Additionally, the abandoned hot water storage tanks are to be removed in Mechanical Room 024. Reference specification section 01 23 00 for Alternate(s).
