Electronic bids are requested for BL143C - Social Research DOAS Unit Remodel at Indiana University Bloomington. A unified bid is required covering all work on the project, including general, mechanical, and electrical construction. Each bid must be accompanied by a completed Minority, Women's and Veteran's Business Enterprise Participation Plan outlining the contractor's good faith efforts to include such enterprises as subcontractors or material suppliers, a bid security for 5% of the total bid, and the contractor's written drug testing program. All bid proposals must conform to the bidding documents. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and waive irregularities. Incomplete bids, including those missing required documentation, may be disqualified. The Base Bid may be held for up to sixty days, and alternate bids for up to ninety days, before awarding contracts or incorporating them by change directive. If a successful bidder withdraws or fails to execute a satisfactory contract within ten days of acceptance, the bid security may be forfeited as liquidated damages.
