Renovation of an educational facility in Murray, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
This project is for Chemistry Roof Replacement. The project consists of removing the existing roof down to the decking and installing a built-up roof system over the properly prepared substrate. Bids will be received from contractors on a Lump Sum Amount for the total project. All phases of the work shall be submitted in the manner herein described and on the official proposal form included with the conditions and specifications and shall be subject to all the conditions as set forth and described in the Bid Documents. Final award of Contract will be made on an evaluated basis considering the offer that provides the best value for the University, with Price accounting for 60% and Experience of the Firm and Team proposed accounting for 40%. The submitting contractors shall demonstrate their firm's experience with similar project types within the last ten years and provide references; identify key individuals who will manage daily operations; submit resumes and experience for the project manager and key technical staff; and provide a list of key subcontractors for certain disciplines. Bids shall be submitted only on the official forms supplied, in two separate submittals: one for firm experience, references, and proposed team, and another for proposal with pricing, through the specified electronic platform. A bid guarantee of not less than 5% of the base bid must accompany all bids, and the successful bidder must provide a 100% Performance Bond and Payment Bond. All major subcontractors, unit prices, and material lists must be submitted with the bid, and an authorized representative of the prime bidder must attend the bid opening for post-bid review. Only those Prime Contractors who have obtained Plans and Bid Documents directly from the designated source will be eligible to submit a bid for this project.
