Site work for a civil project in Alderson, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; water / sewer project; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of Water System Rehab for the Town of Alderson and includes four separate contracts: Contract #1: Replacement of 6,020 linear feet (LF) of 6" waterline, installation of 4,920 LF of 6" waterline, replacement of 4,405 LF of 4" waterline, installation of 975 LF of 4" waterline, replacement of 2,880 LF of 2" waterline, installation of 4,255 LF of 2" waterline, and all other related appurtenances. Contract #2: Installation of 400 LF of 8" directional drill waterline, 13,605 LF of 8" waterline, 32,615 LF of 6" waterline, 1,555 LF of 4" waterline, 5,125 LF of 2" waterline, 124 meter settings, and all other related appurtenances. Contract #3: Installation of a new 150,000 gallon water storage tank, exterior painting of a 150,000 gallon water storage tank, and reconditioning of the access road to the tank sites. Contract #4: Replacement of 850 water meters, tubs, and lids. Separate bids will be received for each contract. A two-envelope system is required for submission: Envelope No. 1 must display the bidder's name, address, and contract being bid. Envelope No. 2, labeled "Bid Proposal," must be placed inside Envelope No. 1. Compliance with the Bid Opening Checklist is required for Envelope No. 1 to be considered. If compliant, Envelope No. 2 will be opened and read; if not, the bid will be deemed non-responsive and returned. Bidders may not withdraw their bid for ninety days after the bid opening. Critical requirements include: Affirmative Action Program Requirements and Goals, Certificate of Non-Segregated Facilities, Specific Labor Standard Provisions, a West Virginia Contractor's License, and compliance with the American Iron and Steel Requirement. The bidder agrees that he/she shall make positive efforts to subcontract at least 7% (2% MBE/5% WBE) of the total value of the contract.
