Provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to replace and modernize the sliding doors at USCG Station Sturgeon Bay in accordance with the Statement of Work. The period of performance shall begin no later than 15 days after contract award. Site visits are highly encouraged to support the development of an accurate bid package. The estimated value of the procurement is under $35,000. The applicable NAICS code is 238290 (Other Building Equipment Contractors), with a Small Business Size Standard of $19 million. The contractor is to remove the existing sliding glass doors and dispose of all materials off the USCG property at the contractor's expense following all local and federal laws . This includes the door itself, any associated hardware (handles, locks, rollers, tracks), and any trim or molding necessary for removal. 2. The contractor will inspect the door frame for any damage (rot, insect infestation, warping) and report any significant findings to the USCG Point of Contact (POC) before proceeding with the installation. The contractor will repair or replace any minor damage to the door frame to ensure proper installation of the new door. Significant damage to framing is to be reported to the POC. 3. The contractor will install new sliding glass doors, including all necessary hardware, tracks, and weather strip. The new doors must be properly aligned and sealed to prevent air and water leaks. Sliding glass door installation 4. Remove existing sliding glass door and all associated hardware. 5. Dispose of removed materials off-site at an approved disposal location. 6. Inspect the door frame for damage; report significant damage to POC. 7. Repair minor damage to the door frame. "If needed" 8. Install new sliding glass door, hardware, tracks, and weather strip. 9. Ensure proper alignment and sealing to prevent air and water leaks. 10. Install new trim/molding as needed to match existing aesthetics. 11. Provide and install appropriate locking mechanisms. 12. Test operation of the door for smooth and secure function. Material/ Part Information 13. All materials will be supplied by the contractor and must meet or exceed local building codes and USCG standards. 14. Sliding Glass Doors: The new sliding glass doors must be energy-efficient, double-paned, and meet or exceed current energy efficiency standards. The color and style of the doors should match the existing aesthetic of the housing units or as otherwise directed by the POC. Specific dimensions will be determined during the site visit. 15. Hardware: All hardware (handles, locks, rollers, tracks) must be of high quality and durable, suitable for exterior use. 16. Sealant/Weather Stripping: High-quality sealant and weather stripping must be used to ensure a tight seal and prevent air and water leaks. 17. Fasteners: Use appropriate corrosion-resistant fasteners for all installations. 18. Trim/Molding: Matching trim/molding to be used as needed for a finished look. 19. All materials planned for use will have to be approved by the POC listed for quality and color.
