Renovation of a laboratory facility in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
The work consists of the replacement of the exterior greenhouse panels within an existing utility occupancy building at the Peninsular Research Station, University of Wisconsin - Madison. The project involves re-skinning only, with no modification of the existing structure other than minor purlin replacements as required. The project must comply with the 2021 International Building Code as adopted by the Wisconsin Commercial Building Code (SPS 361-366), including all applicable state amendments. No change in building area, height, or construction type is proposed. All potential bidders must be certified by DOA before submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $100,000. Bids from non-certified contractors will be rejected. Bids can be submitted as a PDF file with required documents via the eBuilder Bidding Portal (preferred method), or by US Mail, third-party delivery, or hand delivery to the designated drop box. Bidders are responsible for ensuring timely delivery or submission of their bids. PDF electronic documents with original wet signatures or properly transmitted electronic signatures are required. No formal pre-bid tour is planned, but site visits are encouraged. Construction bidding documents are available as downloadable electronic files from the Division of Facilities Development website. No deposit is required to obtain bidding documents.
