Site work for a transportation facility in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
Work consists of the reconfiguration of Nubian Station including site preparation, selective demolition, drainage modifications, paving, construction of new and reconfigured bus platforms including curbing, concrete walk surfaces, tactile warning strips, shelters, lighting, security, and power. Bidders must submit electronic proposals via the internet. No paper copies will be accepted. Bidders must have a valid digital ID issued by the Authority to bid. Only contractors prequalified in accordance with the Authority's Procedures Governing Classification and Rating of Prospective Bidders will be considered eligible to bid. Prequalified bidders must download and submit a completed Request to Bid Form for approval. Bidding documents are available in .pdf format and may be downloaded after making a request for Sharepoint FTP credentials. Bidders must comply with Appendix 2 (EOE, anti-discrimination, and affirmative action), Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Regulations, and the Governor's Executive Order No. 481 (prohibiting use of undocumented workers). Bidders must be able to furnish labor that can work in harmony with other elements of labor. This contract is subject to federal wage and hourly laws and minimum state wage rates. 'Buy America' provisions apply. A bid guaranty in the amount of five percent of the value of the bid is required. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each for the full amount of the contract price. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to proceed otherwise as deemed in the Authority's best interests. Pre-qualification requirements: Each prospective bidder must be prequalified in accordance with the Authority's Procedures Governing Classification and Rating of Prospective Bidders. Applications for prequalification will be accepted no less than ten calendar days prior to the bid opening date. Only prequalified contractors will be eligible to bid. Prequalified bidders must download and submit a completed Request to Bid Form for approval. Question Deadline 04/27/2026 Questions are due no later than ten (10) days prior to the Bid Date; submit questions in writing or email to the MBTA Project Manager.
