Renovation of a municipal facility in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Project Description (brief overview): Provide labor, equipment and materials to remove approximately 370 feet of existing concrete curbing, saving bricks. Saw cut existing walkway for granite curb installation. Place 370 feet of 6 inch granite curbing. Fill and compact surrounding cut, concrete patch up to granite. Install brick once curbing has been installed and set in concrete. Suffolk Courthouse first step, prepare the surface and apply bonding agent, form & recast the deteriorated area. Detailed Scope of Work: The selected vendor will provide labor, equipment, materials and tools to _ Area #3 on graphic - Remove approximately 370 feet of existing concrete curbing. Saw cut existing walkway for granite curb installation. Replace with 370 feet of granite curbing. Install granite curb to be flush with the existing sidewalk. Fill and compact surrounding cut, patch concrete to the the granite. Re-Install brick once curbing has been installed and set in concrete. _ Area #5 on graphic - Suffolk Courthouse first step, prepare surface and apply bonding agent, form & recast the deteriorated area. _ The project will be done off hours. _ Contractor will obtain and submit all required permits. _ Project needs to reflect Prevailing Wage. _ The selected vendors employees must be CORI checked and cleared before the project starts After each work day, the site will be clean and free of any odjects, vehicles, etc that might make parking difficulet for tenants. No equipment will be stored on-site. _ A dumpster may be placed on-site for the disposal of material. Any dumpster placed on-site must be removed before the next business day. _ No additional costs will be approved for communting, fuel or other incidental expenses. The contractor may use facility water, electricity and rest rooms. Any questions by prospective Bidders concerning interpretation of the Contract Documents must be submitted in writing to the Awarding Authority and should be in its possession at least ten working days before the date set for the receipt of Bids.
