Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Provide labor, equipment and materials to remove bricks and repave with asphalt - stamping and coloring approximately 7,000 square feet of area. Remove and replace concrete sidewalk on the North Side of the Suffolk Courthouse, approximately 1,200 square feet of area. Remove and dispose of six concrete bollards at the Suffolk Courthouse. Detailed Scope of Work: The selected vendor will provide labor, equipment, materials and tools to o Area #1 on graphic - Suffolk Superior Court Parking Area. Area measures roughly 2,500 square feet, remove and dispose of existing bricks (retain approximately 10% of removed bricks and provide to Trial Court for reuse) along with associated substrate material. Level and grade area to achive proper pitch for drainage to existing catch basin. Install 1 1/2 " Binder Course of bituminous concrete/ hot mix asphalt and compact and roll. Install a 2 1/2 " Top Course of bituminous concrete/ hot mix and compact and stamp asphalt area into a brick pattern (pattern tbd) with smoothe finish. Color surface to resemble red brick. o Area #2 on graphic - Remove & Replace concrete sidewalk (North side of Suffolk Courthouse). Area measures roughly 1,200 square feet. Substrate to be compacted and leveled to minimize settling. New surface of sidewalk to be level with existing sidewalk to eliminate potential hazard. New concrete sidewalk shall have a minimum thickness of 4" and be of sufficient strength to resist weather and daily foot traffic. Expansion and contraction joints shall be formed to prevent cracking. In the interest to limit down time/ outage, the Trial Court is open to the deployment of pre-cast panels for sidewalk replacement. o Area #4 on graphic - Adams Courthouse Fire Access Alleyway. Area measures roughly 4,000 square feet, remove and dispose of existing bricks (retain approximately 10% of removed bricks and provide to Trial Court for reuse) along with associated substrate material. Level and grade area to achive proper pitch for drainage to existing catch basin. Install 1 1/2 " Binder Course of bituminous concrete/ hot mix asphalt and compact and roll. Install a 2 1/2 " Top Course of bituminous concrete/ hot mix and compact and stamp asphalt area into a brick pattern (pattern tbd) with smoothe finish. Color surface to resemble red brick. o Remove and dispose of (6) concrete bollards at the Suffolk Courthouse. o The project will be done off hours. o Contractor will obtain and submit all required permits. o Project needs to reflect Prevailing Wage. o The selected vendors employees must be CORI checked and cleared before the project starts. o After each work day, the site will be clean and free of any odjects, vehicles, etc that might make parking difficulet for tenants. No equipment will be stored on-site. o A dumpster may be placed on-site for the disposal of material. Any dumpster placed on-site must be removed before the next business day. o No additional costs will be approved for communting, fuel or other incidental expenses. The contractor may use facility water, electricity and Rest Rooms.
